WoW: Tuning for trinkets from Sanctum of Domination announced

September 16, 2021

The WoW developers are currently busy fine-tuning various values in patch 9.1, including the legendary pact abilities and the trinkets that you can capture in the raid Sanctum of Domination. Almost all of these Trinkets will receive sometimes smaller, sometimes more powerful buffs. The changes are scheduled to appear on the live servers next week as part of a hotfix.

Keep in mind, hotfixes are updates that are made server-side without the need to download new data. Some of the changes listed below will take effect as soon as Blizzard implements them, whereas others will only take effect after an announced realm reboot.

Attribute improvements on (almost) all fronts

The developers write about the adjustments in an official blue post:
"We have made various adjustments to the strength of some trinkets from the Sanctum of Domination, which will go live during the next weekly maintenance
All [...] values apply to trinkets at item level 226. Higher item level versions will be adjusted accordingly.

Specifically, you can look forward to the following changes:

  • Titanic Ocular Gland grants 117 of your highest secondary attribute (up from 112).
  • Tome of Monstrous Constructs grants your damage-dealing abilities a very high chance to deal 507 additional Shadow damage to your opponent (previously 467).
  • Shadow Orb of Torment now grants 432 mastery (down from 268).
  • Black Soul Wrench can now critically hit, is enhanced by your speed, and deals damage directly on hit. Damage over time has been reduced to 781 (previously 1,324).
  • Salvaged Fusion Enhancer makes your attacks deal 1,290 Arcane damage with a very high chance (previously 1,189).
