The fifth WoW Classic phase on the PTR
As the official PTR patch notes show, the upcoming patch not only includes already known content (like the AQ opening event or the Tier 0.5 sets), but also provides for some adjustments of bugs/exploits in Alterac Valley.
Furthermore, the developers at Blizzard Entertainment are concerned about account security and therefore offer a benefit in the size of a 4-slot bag for using the Authenticator, which will be added to your account (without consuming a slot).
Furthermore, the interface for WoW addons has been improved so that an accurate readout of data will now be possible even without huge chat traffic. In other words, threat values should actually match real-world values with the upcoming patch!
Below you can read the full WoW Classic Version 1.13.5 PTR Patch Notes. As always, please note that these are PTR patch notes and may be dynamically adjusted.
The next patch and latest content for WoW Classic (buy now €24.99 ) is now available for testing on the WoW Classic Public Test Realm (PTR).
With this patch, we are fixing many bugs from World of Warcraft version 1.12. These bugs were clearly not intended at the time and have now been fixed:
Recently, we've noticed increased activity in chat caused by addons that sync data between users. The majority of addons increase activity only in moderation, but some addons can cause issues and affect gameplay for all players. We've already given the game a server-side hotfix to introduce limits on chat to counteract this behavior, but in our research we've discovered some ways to make life easier for addon developers.
Even before WoW Classic was released, we put a lot of thought into how we could replicate the original game experience while protecting player accounts as much as possible. We can't eliminate all threats, and unfortunately many WoW Classic players have not yet taken steps to protect their accounts with an Authenticator. This can cause difficulties when accounts are hacked and players have to contact Blizzard Customer Service to fix the problem.
In this patch, we are enabling 4 additional bag slots for all players who have linked their WoW Classic account with an Authenticator. In order to allow all new Classic players to enjoy the new player experience, this will not appear in the game until level 20. All players who have already linked their WoW account to an Authenticator will see the 4 additional bag slots when they log into version 1.13.5. Players who are not yet using an Authenticator will see a "+" icon on their bags in-game to remind them to protect their account and receive this reward.
We realize this is a significant change from the original WoW. We take account security very seriously and want the account protection reward to apply to WoW Classic as it has for years for World of Warcraft.
These patch notes are still being worked on, so they may change before the patch is applied. The PTR may be taken down for maintenance at any time, and some content may be disabled or temporarily unavailable. We will post the dates for the patch and new content as soon as they are determined.
Please report any bugs you notice using the in-game reporting feature. Thank you very much!
