Highlight recent changes Yes No
Through Dataminer we already know the sets from the come raid in patch 9.2
of WoW Shadowlands. In the Mausoleum of the First, all twelve classes will once again have the opportunity to collect armor pieces that are visually adapted to the class and the mausoleum. There have already been many negative opinions about the clumsy appearance of the sets
. The following is also about the look of the Tier 22 set, but not for the previously known reasons. This is because the hood of the Warlock grants a very unflattering look, especially when viewed from the back.Update from January 7, 2022: The Warlock's Tier 22 set now looks less like a Ku Klux Klan robe and has also recently been given two horns, but Warlocks are still not happy with their class set. As the pictures from icy-veins.com show, the glowing horns are actually quite cool ...

... but if you look at the warlock in Tier-22 garb head-on, you'll see rather cute bunny ears.
Players in the community have also directly noticed that the horns look more like rabbit ears. If the developers adjust the cute little horns again until the release of patch 9.2 for Shadowlands, this would be the third time that the warlock set has to be changed visually.
Update from 12/8/2021: In the meantime, the developers have revised the robe of the Tier-22 set for warlocks. However, not much has changed. Only one ornament has been added.

This did not solve the actual problem. The main problem was the rear view of the hood, which has not changed its shape and still reminds too much of the racist secret society.
Even though the hood is no longer completely white, some players in the community note that actually more than just embellishments should be changed with additional color. As it stands, some say it's just a modified Klan cap.

External content More about this in our privacy policy. It's not just WoW Influencer team Taliesin and Evitel who noticed this. The pointed white helmet is very reminiscent of the robes of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK). This secret society, based primarily in the southern states of the USA, is known for its pronounced racism and violence against dark-skinned people. That you don't want to be reminded of something like that in WoW (buy now ) is clear.
In retrospect, the developers also noticed this. They apologize on Twitter for this inconvenience, which seems not to have been noticed while working on the Tier 22 set.
Warlocks will therefore have to wait a bit longer to see their tier set from Mausoleum of the First in all its glory and without KKK innuendo. If you are interested in the bonuses of the Tier-22 set, you can find it and the effects for all other classes and specs in our big overview.
